Why Lafleur Skin chooses to use Flowers

Of all the various aromatic plant essences available, flower essences are by far the most precious. They are more complex in their composition than herbal or wood or root essences, as is evidenced by their balanced aroma. Like notes on a musical scale, fragrances have low, middle and high notes. Aromatic flowers like Rose, Jasmine, and Neroli, possess a harmony of notes that stretch from high to low, with emphasis on middle notes. The balanced fragrance of flowers induces the same within the brain and body.

Flowers are magical, visually and aromatically, they may be considered the most beautiful and glorious in the entire plant kingdom. Their attractiveness is not without purpose: flowers are the reproductive organs of plants. Their symmetrical forms, striking colors and intoxicating scents are meant to seduce the birds and bees upon whom they depend for pollination. The quality of allurement that flowers possess is captured and concentrated in aromatic essences. When we use flower oils, they become incorporated into our bodies via the skin and this quality of attraction is transferred to us.

Ancient Art:

The handpicked flowers are collected before sunrise, which is prior to some of the aromatic oils retrieving back down into the stem of the flower. Each microscopic droplet of precious oil is surrounded by a layer of protective phospholipids. Next, distillation is performed. A slow process of separating the oils from their capsules of lipids protecting the oil. This process allows a divine collection of these precious oils and rich lipids that we use in our skin care, in a ratio that promotes protection, cell communication, and beautification.

“Lafleur Skin” uses ancient traditions and techniques. Our skin care is made using only real, whole, non fractionated, unadulterated absolute essential oils from living flowers.

What will you find in Lafleur Skin?

The pure aromatic essential oils are separated from the phospholipid’s envelope or sac (referred to as the lipids). We like to think of the lipids as the "brawn", and the essentials oils are the "brain" of the flower. It provides a blend of the resilience and protective capacity of the phospholipids with the electrical sensory action of the oils. Together they provide vital information to the skin, hair, or nails.

Virtues of Flower Oils:

Flowers are one of nature’s most exquisite gifts to humanity. The instructions inherent in flowers (more than any other parts of the plants) are to emphasize beautification and attractiveness to all external tissues they encounter, such as hair, skin and nails. Flowers have a profound effect upon the mind because of their ability to stimulate various pleasure centers in the brain that secrete de-stressing and beneficial neuro chemicals.

Virtues of Flower Lipids:

The lipids contained within flower petals are amazing substances. They are extremely rich in “information” and “instruction” molecules, and the language by which these instructions are written is one that is understood by human, animal, and plant cells alike. In the petals of flowers, the lipids encapsulate this aromatic essence. By default, the lipids are imbued with this intelligence and when used on the body, relay instructions to cells, thereby beautifying, healing, and balancing the skin.

Flower lipids are one of nature’s most exquisite gifts to humanity. They are the most sublime, exalted, and magnificent fatty molecules known to us. They are rare as it requires a considerable amount of flower petals to extract a small amount of the lipid.

These highly valuable fatty components are very stable and do not oxidize. These lipids form a sheer, fine-rich film that protects the skin from pollution, cold, heat, and the harshness of the elements. The molecular size of flower lipids is very tiny making them highly efficient in penetrating down to the deepest layer of skin and providing very lightweight, but substantial emollient.
Flower lipids have anti-inflammatory, repairing and gentle exfoliating properties. They provide slight UV filtering/ protection. They act as free radical scavengers and
can aid in the reduction of sun / age spots as they have a purifying, restorative, and regenerative effect on skin. All lipids increase the skin’s luster and radiance. They are rich in carotenoids, vitamin E and other antioxidants. They have bioflavonoid activity, thereby strengthening skin by promoting collagen activity. They increase cell turnover and help eliminate dead skin.
